Creating a more livable planet

A cleaner future

Clairity has taken the first steps on its mission and has a multi-year roadmap to remove a billion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.

Join our team

We are actively building our first pilot plant to capture 100 tons of CO2 per year.

Upon completion in 2024, we will start rapid iteration to decrease the energy intensity and improve material properties. This will involve heavy investments in material science and systems engineering to optimize performance. We will simultaneously scale and build more Direct Air Capture plants to improve our learning rate and capture increasing amounts of CO2.

Meet the team

Clairity employs a growing team of well-respected, highly-trained, and experienced scientists, engineers, builders, and doers who love working on the most difficult problems.

From building rockets to medical technology, we bring together decades of experiences to allow us to develop and create new technologies for carbon dioxide removal.

Frequently asked questions

Have more questions?

What exactly is carbon dioxide removal?

Carbon dioxide removal (CDR) is a suite of approaches that remove CO2 from the atmosphere. CDR includes tools like planting trees to highly-engineered systems, such as direct air capture. CDR is still in its infancy, as we can only remove thousands of tons of CO2 each year from the atmosphere. The industry needs to grow by many orders of magnitude in the coming decades to meet our ambitious goals.

Is there a market for carbon dioxide removal?

The market for carbon dioxide removal is estimated to reach $1T in cumulative sales by mid-century. Currently, demand for carbon dioxide removal far outstrips supply. To date, 774,678 tons of carbon dioxide have been purchased but only 9% of purchases have been delivered!

Private companies like Microsoft, Stripe, Alphabet, Shopify, Meta, McKinsey, and others are already purchasing carbon removal using their own platforms or advanced market commitment (AMC) bodies, which has resulted in over $1B in funding and AMC for future carbon removal purchases.

How can I get involved?

Clairity is hiring for a number of technical and non-technical roles to aid in the development and deployment of our technology. Take a look at our open roles and apply to join our team.
